Difficulty porting number from Virgin Mobile

I've tried EMEI and Account Numbers. I just keep getting the same email telling me it doesn't work.

    Be careful with the IMEI number. I tried copying it from the settings page on my iPhone and it failed. I typed in the number with no spaces and then the transfer worked.
