Texting not working.

Just switched over from Sasktel and followed the steps to activate my sim card but texting is not working. I can make and receive calls and browse the net on my data, but can't text. I have tried all the fixes through support, nothings working. Any ideas?

    How long has it been since your port?


    Port over can take a few hours for all functionality to work 100%.


    And what kind of device are you using?

    I ported my phone number over at around noon yesterday. I am using a Samsung S10.

    Ok, sometimes, it's the SMSC number not being updated.

    In your phone's messages app's settings, find an option called SMSC and put this number in there: +13065200051.


    See if that resolves the issue.

    I believe that's what they did for me, I had filled out a trouble ticket about the issue and now it's working. Thanks for the help.
