Porting/activating while outside the province

Hello,
I decided to port and activate my number while in Toronto and to my dismay it didn't work. i have received an email saying that my number has been successfully ported and I only needed to activate it. It's already past 30 mins since I ported the number and until now, I do not have any signal. Will this work while I am out of the province or only when I go back? Any ideas? Thanks!

Try to manually select the network to Lum Mobile B or Lum Mobile T , i.e. (Bell or Telus). See if that works.
