How long can porting my phone number take?

I started the setup process on my SIM card and it’s been longer than 4 hours and I haven’t received anything saying whether there was trouble or not. How long can the process take?

    It can take up to 2 days sometimes. But that is not the norm.

    Did you receive an sms from your old provider to allow for the port authorization to go trhough?

    im haviing this exact same issue and its rather annoying that im 4 days into myu phone plan with lum yet im still not recieving the text from sasktel
