Testing not working after adding 3GB US data to my plan

Yesterday I added 3GB of US data to my plan. I have 78 days left on my current membership and around 22GB of Canada data. Now, I am sitting in Toronto airport and I cannot receive text messages. Been using facebook messenger to communicate. Frustrating to say the least.
