Cancelling Cellular Safety plan and moving to Lum?
I have a Cellular Safety plan one-year contract with Sasktel and I am planning a switch to Lum. Has anyone done such a thing and if so did Sasktel give credit for the time remaining on the contract?
Thanks.

Talked to Sasktel...their response was that when I port to Lum they cancel the plan and then figure out a prorated credit for the time remaining, which will appear on my Mobility statement in 4 to 6 weeks. Then I phone in and have them transfer the credit to my Sasktel land line account or send me cheque and then they close the Mobility account. Sounds long-winded but reasonable.

Sasktel gives credit when you switch to a postpaid plan. You can do that prior to porting over to Lüm. But I would recommend to give them a call and find out if you'll get a refund if you just cancelled the service(I.e. port over to Lüm).
