Made a mistake and purchased top up for the wrong family member!

Hi guys, I'm in a bit of a pickle and needing some advice. I set aside 100 dollars this month to purchase the top up for my wife who is linked to my account and accidentally purchased for myself. I don't need the data at all but reaching customer service they just said nothing can be done. I understand it's my mistake but I'm pretty bummed out. Is there something I can do?
