3G Coverage Changes for Saskatchewan

Heads up – there’s changes coming to wireless service in Saskatchewan.

On December 31, 2025, some wireless network towers will stop supporting 3G/HSPA service in Saskatchewan and only LTE and/or 5G service will work in those areas. That means if your phone relies on 3G/HSPA, it might not be able to make and receive calls (including 9-1-1), send and receive texts, or use data in some areas.

Here’s what you need to know:

  • Your Lüm phone recently connected to one of these towers using 3G/HSPA, and it’s not VoLTE (Voice over LTE) compatible.
  • To keep using voice, text and data in areas where 3G/HSPA isn’t supported, you’ll need to switch to a VoLTE phone before December 31, 2025.
