New, lower data membership plans
There should be a plan with a lower price and less data. Where are plans for 3, 5 or 10GBs per month? I am an ultra-low data user, 150GB is a massive waste for me, even with rolling over. It is 99% waste and there's absolutely no better option for what I am sure is a good amount of people in my boat. I bought 25 GBs 2.5 years ago and I have used less than 5, plus with the Christmas 1GB the data lasts even longer.
Let's get some real proper value packages with lower amounts of data at a much better price.

@H-Man while I appreciate the effort you've put into your post, it just demonstrates that Lum no longer has competitive low-data plans. Public Mobile and Lucky Mobile both have plan tiers that offer better value than Lum for low-data users, and for extremely low-use users Koodo and Sasktel also offer better value plans. There may be other competitors I'm missing as well. Assuming Lum does not address low-data value in the coming months, I'll sadly be leaving Lum for Public Mobile when my membership expires. Lum has been a better experience than Public Mobile was, but at the end of the day this is a phone utility and most low-data users are going to select whatever offers the best value.
Lum's value for low-use came from being able to buy data in bulk once and use it slowly over time while allowing for bursts of "higher" data use. For those who frequently take advantage of such bursts Lum is still a reasonable value proposition, but only if your burst usage exceeds 6GB/mo (Public Mobile's $23 plan).
If Lum were to add a lower tier to the new plans that could bring prices in line with the prior plan (reduced by around $5/mo, as per your table) then I would happily stay with Lum, and I imagine it would shut down all of this complaining from so many customers. It baffles me that Lum thinks 150GB per year of 5G speed data is a reasonable lowest option, and every single Lum customer I know is equally disappointed about ditching Lum once their membership expires.

@H-Man I have had a look, and me like many other people will be paying more for no extra benefit. Yes, I will have unlimited calling and texting, but with my usage, I am 99% on wifi and not needing that at all. I am seeing a significant price increase essentially for nothing. The cheapest plan being 150 GBs is WAAAAAY more than I need, I've used less than 1 GB per year since I joined. Give the OG members a membership-only price for the time being. Don't tell me it's like $25 a month, I know that and it's more than I was paying. These new plans are the opposite of why I joined, Lum is losing their competitive advantage for the low data users.

So we're still here, weeks after the announcement of the new plans? After all this glorious feedback that Lum claims to value pretty highly, there's still no reasonable option for the low data users? I renewed today, but next year I'm out. As you can see by my data usage in the last month, this plan was not made with anyone like me in mind. I don't need or want unlimited talk and text, but now I have it anyway. I don't need or want 150gb of data when I still have more than 30gb already paid for, but now I have it anyway. Thanks for nothing, Lum.
