This morning at about 8:15am, I was about to leave town when I noticed my phone would not connect to any of the map apps. I was uncertain about how to get to my destination, so I returned to my abode to print a physical map with google maps on my computer. I had no problem doing this. As time was ticking away, I headed out with a paper map. En route, I asked Siri "how far to X" several times but got a message that she could not connect. Luckily, just before I got to my destination, the map apps began working on the phone and it was able to guide me to my exact address. When I arrived I rebooted my phone.
Since my phone is on lum, I disconnected Wifi shortly after I left. I can't think of a sensible explanation for this behaviour. Since I was able to get to google maps on the computer and print a route, the internet wasn't down. I have used computer heavily most of my life, but the only explanation I have is that perhaps lum wasn't working? But I am certain I saw five bars along on the phone.
Not a big deal, unless the problem is some intermittent thing on my phone that has just started to reveal itself, in which case only time will tell. Just curious if anyone has thoughts as to what happened.0
