Calls time out after 5 minutes while in the USA

My wife and I both have Pixel 2 phones and US Data plans while we're in the USA. Both our phones will disconnect after 5 minutes of air time. How do we switch off or change the air time. This timing out problem doesn't happen in Canada. Thanks for your help !

    Hi there,

    Can you tell me what time the last call was at? I'm not seeing any for both of your accounts in the last 24 hours.

    The last time was October 19th. and October 12th before that. After that I was aware I would loose my connection and would have to hang up and call back again. My wife's phone does the same thing.
