Is Voice Calling only supported on certain phone models in USA?

I have a Xiaomi 11T Pro that I have taken to the USA last year and was unable to make any calls. I am heading down again this year a few times for work and am wondering if there are any tricks to get phone calls working? SMS and Data worked great.

Calling may not work due to the 3G Shutdown in the USA.

It looks like no Xiaomi phones are listed as approved phones by Lum or AT&T in the USA. So it is unlikely that your Xiaomi phone will work in the USA.
