Ported-out this evening, will membership get automatically renewed tomorrow?

Hi there, the port-out process seems to have been completed successfully from Lum Mobile to Public Mobile this evening, Dec 23rd 2024. Lum Mobile membership was set to be renewed automatically next day on Dec 24th, 2024. However, in theory Lum Mobile system is supposed to realize the number has been ported out then cancel the membership, before the payment card in file get charged next day. No further action is needed from the subscriber or member. The virtual chart service confirmed that was is supposed to happen. Is there anything else I can do so the payment card in file do not get charged tomorrow on Dec 24th? Thank you!

    Raise a support ticket. Maybe you could get a refund.

    Cancel your membership. It won't get renewed then. Just to be safe. You won't Lose your number if you've already ported. Even if it hasn't been ported yet, I think you can still do that as Lum's terms state:

    If you cancel your membership at any time, or if your membership is expired for 60 days, the following will automatically occur:

    o your myLüm account will be terminated; o you will not be able to use any services;

    o your purchased data will be forfeited; and

    o your wireless phone number will be forfeited.

    • If you move your number to another provider, your membership will be cancelled, you will lose your myLüm account, and your purchased data will be forfeited.

    Oh just saw this message today, Dec 24th :-(
    The auto-charge did take place at 3:30am in the morning. No idea why the membership didn't cancel before that.
    The porting process seemed to be completed last night, sms notification went well and all
    BUUT this afternoon a Telus customer service rep called to fetch my Lum Mobile account number. After they got it the porting process resumed correctly at their screen while I was on the phone wit them. So now if the porting process is done for good, anything can be done here with the membership charge? :-( … it has no use this way (!__!) .

    An update: an email has arrived from Lum Mobile (Dec 24th 1:52pm SK Time ):

    Your membership has been cancelled

    Hey [First Name],

    Account Number: [0xxxx].

    As requested, your phone number has been moved to another provider. Your Lüm membership has been cancelled and you have lost any remaining data.

    We're sad to see you go and hope you’ll join us again.

    Logging into myLum account to submit a support ticket is no longer possible (screenshot below).

    Any idea how to go about this after cancelling the service? aside from creating a new account?

    @Lüm Support and @Lüm Mobile : please (!_!) any suggestion on how to initiate a refund process?
