Lüm Mobile offers a range of benefits on our recent plans such as unlimited talk and text, access to 5G speeds, data that rolls over, and the ability to manage your account digitally. However, if you still wish to port out, here are the steps to follow:
Please follow the steps below to transfer/port your number to another provider.
Before initiating the port-out request:
- Log into myLüm.
- Delink Linked Accounts: Ensure that you delink any linked accounts prior to porting out, if applicable.
- Account Number: Take note of your 5-digit account number on the Dashboard. Note: If your new provider advises that they cannot accept a 5-digit account number, rest assured that this is your correct account number, and they can process the port request with it.
- Once the new provider has initiated the transfer you will receive a text message to reply 'Yes'. Note: If you do not have access to your phone or wish to bypass this process, you can add a temporary Port Authorization Opt-Out by clicking on Settings > Security & Controls > Port Authorization Opt-Out toggle on. This is active for 90 minutes.
Porting Out:
- Port requests are processed automatically and are typically completed very quickly. If your port-out request fails, the new provider should provide a reason for the failure. You can review common porting failures here.
- Once the reason for the failure has been addressed, you may ask your new provider to attempt the request again.
