If you are experiencing issues sending or receiving texts or iMessage's that include undeliverable, failed, etc follow these steps:
If you haven't changed phones
- Make sure your account is up to date and you have data or the Talk & Text add-on
- Try making a phone call to make sure you have service
- Check your battery settings to make sure your not in battery saving mode or airplane mode
- Delete the text conversation and start a new one with that phone number
- Restart your phone (power off completely, then turn it on again)
- Update the software on your phone
- Text another number. You may have the contact info wrong or it may be an issue on their end
- Check your network settings
- Toggle Airplane mode
- You may need to check your user manual or manufacture's website for additional steps
- Let the community know and one of our members will help you
- Raise a trouble ticket
If you have changed phones
Android to iPhone
To deregister your phone number from chat features after removing the SIM:
- Go to How to turn chat features off (Google Help Center)
- Under Without your previous device, enter your phone number
- Click Send code
- Enter the 6-digit verification code you received
- Click Verify
- Follow steps in the first section
iPhone to Android
🚩It can take up to 24 hours for the phone number to be completely removed from Apple's Messages (iMessage) platform.
